Of course, the current age seems to allow everything. Freedom is often misinterpreted in the reality of parenting by some parents including some dads in the current age. Some kids talk or behave disrespectfully to others and even their parents, and those, who are as old as their parents. While it is NOT advisable to use any abusive style to train kids (Dadgist DOES NOT SUPPORT any unhealthy maltreatment of kids in whatever way or meaning), parents, especially dads can teach children respect in the following ways:
- The best method starts from parents themselves. Try to live “Respect” in your daily lives.
- Don’t bully people at home or outside home or in any places. Your kids are watching you.
- Be respectful to the people and elderly ones in the front of your kids. I know you would say some disrespectful people don’t deserve your respect. But for your kids’ learning sake, just live “Respect”, dads !
- Talk about respect with your kids. Kids love to learn good things, if we will be patient to teach them.
- With love and more explanation and examples, correct the disrespectful child verbally, NOT with curses (that is a verbal abuse and the child CANNOT learn good respect in such way).
