
While the real-life debate on COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandate is heated up, some believe some parts of the debate are politically motivated. One thing is for sure, whether politicians are politicizing COVID-19 or not, COVID-19 is real but its era will not be forever. While its era lasts, keep your immune system stronger. Whether the health experts are politically motivated or not on COVID vaccine and mask mandate, as a dad, you have responsibility for yourself and family to keep your immune system strong in reasonable ways such as the following:
- Always pray to God Almighty for sound health and enhanced natural immune system.
- Keep your regular immunization up to date including COVID-19 vaccine.
- Eat more fruit rich in Vitamin D and C and other essential nutritional elements.
- Get natural antioxidants for your body from berries fruits and other recommended sources.
- Explore sufficiency of essential micronutrients such as calcium, zinc, etc. for your body with your physicians and/or qualified health experts.
- Eat balanced and healthy diet daily.
- Be active. Do your exercise regularly.
- Sleep well ! Have regular night sleep. 7-9 hours night sleep is recommended for adults.
- Reduce stress. Stress is a major enemy of immune system.
- Drink adequate water daily.
- Stop smoking.
- Stop the habit of drinking alcohol. Heavy alcohol drinking suppresses immune system.
- If you have an underlying condition, manage it properly as directed by your physician. Do not let the noise of COVID-19 overwhelms you and creates carelessness or personal oversight on taking care of your underlying condition(s). From diabetes to cardiac conditions and other tough health conditions, keep managing yours properly with your physician.
- Reduce exposure to potential bad germs by keeping personal hygiene up. Wash hands with soap and water regularly or use safe hand sanitizer, when you have no access to soap and water. While you get vaccinated, reduce every actions that can increase viral load intake. Keep distance when sneezing is common in closed place like offices. Always keep your house and office ventilated. Wipe down stuffs coming into your house and car with safe sanitizing wipes. Regular wipes should be fine for edible things. Rinsing your fruits and other raw food items in water should be fine. While all these are preventive actions, they reduce heavy bad germ intake and attack on your immune system.
One thing is for sure, whether politicians are politicizing COVID-19 or not, COVID-19 is real but its era will not be forever. While its era lasts, keep your immune system stronger.
